A Glimpse Into Being an Actuary Camp

At this unique camp, students will be introduced to the finance, economics, mathematics and statistics used by actuaries. Students will form teams to do a project using real data where they will estimate the expected insurance company payouts for specific gender and age groups. They will also get to project insurance premium costs. $220, including lunch. Space is limited. Applications are required. The application deadline is June 1. Special consideration will be given to those who apply before May 1. An early bird discount is available for those apply before April 25. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available.
