OU students present at National Orientation Directors Association regional conference
Three Oakland University undergraduate students recently presented at the 2025 National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) Region VII Regional Conference at the University of Waterloo, in Ontario, Canada. OU art history professor awarded Luce/ACLS Early Career Fellowship in China Studies
Yu-chuan Chen, assistant professor of art history, is one of only six scholars selected to receive a flexible 2025 Luce/ACLS Early Career Fellowship in China Studies. The fellowships award recent doctoral graduates without tenure $15,000 to carry out research and writing towards a scholarly product on China’s societies, histories, cultures, geopolitics art and global impact. Chen’s award will fund completion of his book “Boating through the Sacred Landscape: Artistic Visions of the Wuyi Mountains.”
Oakland University to host 2025 ALSAME Latino Youth Conference
Oakland University will host the 2025 Advocates for Latino Student Advancement in Michigan Education (ALSAME) Latino Youth Conference from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
